Country Code (Muluki Ain)

Whereas, it is expedient to make Terms and Conditions as well as process required for granting approval for adoption of Nepali Child by alien. Now, therefore, in exercise of the power conferred by No. 12A of the Chapter on Adoption of the Muliki Ain (Country Code), Government of Nepal has made the following Terms and Conditions and Process:

1. The Country Code (Muluki Ain) is the substantive law for in-country and inter-country adoption.
2. Adoption chapter of Country Code has given authority to the Government of Nepal (GON) to make necessary arrangements to regulate inter-country adoption.
