Ban on foundling child for Inter Country Adoption
Nepal would like to develop an ethical adoption system .Considering the questions raised on foundling children from the street by the diplomatic missions of the receiving countries Ministry of Women Children and Social welfare has made a decision to suspend foundling children admitted in the orphanage from 5 January 2011 (2067.9.21 BS) for intercountry adoption.

Adoption was suspended for three months (25th April to 25th July 2015) from the date of devastated earthquake in Nepal on 25th April 2015.
